Tiffen 67mm Circular Polarizer Filters – Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

This filter uses a Wide Angle (Low Profile) mount. In order to help eliminate vignetting (darkening of the corners), it does not have a front thread.

Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems without problems).

*Area of sky most effectively polarized with a Circular Polarizer:
Point your index finger at the sun. With your thumb extended at a right angle (90°), rotate it around the axis of the index finger. It will point out the band of deepest blue from horizon to horizon.
